April,
You may already know this but your blogs and website info. have been invaluable to us and probably many others working to help the people of Haiti. Myself and Dave Gibson have emailed you with questions regarding the Sawyer filter project in Belbede. We leave next week for St. Jean de Sud and our yearly week long medical clinic. The community clinic nurse manager is determined that cholera will not spread to St. Jean and we will hopefully help with introducing the filters and education. I will pray for you and the SP – Kathy Murphy-Baum, Holy Redeemer Church, St. Louis
thank you so much for this encouragement. Please let us know if you need help with the filters. We are committed to them as a way to help provide clean water in a household filtration form.
I went 12/18-28. I guess I just missed you. It was refreshing to read your posts. I worked in the peds ward as well. I felt like I did very little work other than starting some really difficult IV’s. It was a lot of play which I think was very therapeutic for me and the children.
Wow!! We were really busy. I was the only provider with 27 kids one day. We pretty much always had at least a half full unit. I am sure you did good work.
